We are looking for a talented Merchandising Analyst to join our team.
The Merchandising Analyst will work with the merchant team to use various analytical skills and techniques to help drive improvements in online and catalog performance.
The Merchandising Analyst gathers, interprets, analyzes, and organizes complex data to inform actionable steps to improve sales performance.
This role uses data to help merchant teams assess strategic business opportunities for their brands.
The Merchandising Analyst partners with inventory planners to understand key items to assure appropriate forecasts and inventory levels to support sales.
The Merchandising Analyst should have a strong desire to work within a team to build improvements and efficiencies through systems and process updates, build cross-functional relationships, and a desire to analyze and summarize data in order to make a positive impact.
Key
Responsibilities:
Perform query-based analysis using various analytical tools including SQL, Power Pivots, Power Query and Data Modeler.
Develop reports and dashboards using analytical tools.
Collaborate with merchandising teams to identify, design, and implement reporting tools to maximize sales, margin, and inventory performance.
Work with the merchandising teams and use weekly data to provide analysis that will lead to improvements in process, decision-making and overall results.
Develop reporting to identify trends and selling patterns and establish buy plans.
Help to develop standardized analysis and reporting across merchandise teams.
Provide comprehensive analysis of web sales and each catalog at established completion thresholds.
Analysis includes, but is not limited to:
category performance, price point analysis, gross margin, contribution, sales ranking reporting and segment performance.
Assist in the Merchandising Budget process.
Communicate with the Merchandising and Marketing teams to understand by Brand/Month/Category future sales and margin rates and gain insight into future circulation plans.
Monitor the results compared to the annual goal and report weekly.
Ad hoc queries including, but not limited to:
cart/basket analysis, fatigue analysis, repurchase trend, as requested from the various merchant teams.
Work with IT and the Business Intelligence Team to recommend/develop improvements to existing processes and/or systems.
Work closely with the Purchasing Team to assure identify opportunities in item forecasting.
BA/BS degree or equivalent in business, statistics, economics, finance, engineering.
MS Access and database programming certification or equivalent is a plus.
Marketing/Merchandising, Retail, and/or Direct Marketing experience is desirable.

Strong business analytical mindset.
Strong computer skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
SQL knowledge a plus.
Excellent mathematical skills.
Good Communication and organization skills required.
Proficiency with various BI tools such as Power BI, Data Modeler, SAS, SSRS, Tableau a plus.
Basic financial analysis.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
