Summary:
The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients referred and provides instruction and assistance to patients families as indicated.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provides comprehensive differential diagnostic evaluations using standardized and norm-references measures2.
Provides management/treatment programs consistent with diagnosis and department protocols3.
Provides timely documentation for medical records/insurance requirements per division standards4.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age5.
Other duties as assigned.
Technical Expertise1.
Experience in Pediatric Speech Pathology is preferred.
2.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required3.
Experience in pediatric health care is preferred4.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is requiredEducation and Experience1.
Education:
Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required2.
Certification:
State of Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology CCC-SLP from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ASHA is required.
3.
Years of relevant
Experience:
3 to 5 years is preferred.
