30pm M-FAssembly Worker - The Assembler performs light assembly work on oxygen components, valves, and fittings for aircraft.
The work is completed while primarily seated at a worktable, using small hand tools, fixtures, and equipment.
Good dexterity and attention to detail is important.
Some operations require good hand strength as well.
This position may also require working while standing for periods of time.
Duties include, but are not limited to cleaning, assembling, and testing parts in production, as well as labeling and packaging assistance.
This position operates under moderate supervision, performing tasks that require a degree of independent judgment.
The individual must be a quality-conscience, motivated person, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a team player that can follow directions.
The instruction for this position is done through direct and written instruction as well as drawings.
Lifting around 10 normally, but max 20-25.
quiet, relaxed environment.
Attention to detail is critical because all products are oxygen related.
This site handles military spec air equipment.
The Assembler is responsible for manufacturing sub-assemblies and finished goods for sale.
Additionally, this position performs component cleaning and testing to verify the product meets the required specifications.
PRINCIPAL
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of an Assembler include the following activities:
1.
Assembles parts to relatively small or light subassemblies up to complete units 2.
Using a vapor degreaser, cleans components for oxygen service 3.
Performs testing operations to ensure product meets the required specifications 4.
Identifies units that fail testing and repair as necessary 5.
Uses hand tools and machines for assembly operations 6.
Maintains a clean work area, tools, and other equipment.
Required:
at least 1 year in a manufacturing/production environment, High School Diploma or equivalent, familiar with basic hand tools.
