Job Description

The Back Office Technology (BOT) team provides support technologies throughout CE. The team interfaces and works together with Product Development, Sales, Marketing & Finance, and Customer and Technical Support staff to create internal toolsets and software solutions that allow CE to fulfill its contributions to healthcare professionals using our solutions. Reporting into the Manager of Product Engineering, this role will be expected to learn our existing systems and software, understand and contribute to enhancements and new offerings, work within CE's Agile guidelines and work in a robust, professional manner within the team and with other teams.
The ideal candidate is motivated to perform self-discovery and seek ownership of software and processes within the team's domains, and should be a generalist at heart: ready to apply their skills to web applications, RESTful web services and backend systems. In addition, the individual must be collaborative, adaptive, self-critical and able to thrive within a team-based development environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work as part of an Agile development team to understand, design and size new features & enhancements.
Maintain, enhance, and extend several RESTful webservice applications and the team's internal toolset web applications.
Design, implement and own underlying databases related to the team's software & components.
Follow best practices and standards for coding, including adjacent concerns to programming tasks such as peer review, responsible source code management, release & deployment activities, updating release notes, etc.
Incorporate testing best practices within the scope of development activities, as well as collaborate with Test Engineering groups to interface effectively with CE's testing frameworks.
Demonstrates the ability to solve analytical problems both independently and with peers as the situation requires.
Systematically troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely resolutions.
Work on multiple initiatives and tasks simultaneously, balancing the workload to contribute to multiple efforts and timelines.
Demonstrate a cooperative spirit by actively listening, and collaborating with other team members as well as other teams to foster an innovative, problem-solving environment.
Work with non-technical colleagues to understand business needs and propose effective solutions.
Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies.
Other Duties
Attend relevant team & company meetings as required.
Perform bookkeeping tasks related to timecards, paid time off, etc. in an accurate & timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Technology or related field.

6+ years of software development experience is required.
Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC and database design is required.
Experience with server-side development technologies and frameworks, such as J2EE, Tomcat, and GlassFish.
Experience with web-tier technology & frameworks is required. Standard MVC, Javascript & jQuery experience is ideal, with AngularJS & Twitter Bootstrap experience a plus.
Experience with webservice technologies & implementations is required, such as RESTful APIs, WSDL & SOAP, from both the consumer & developer ends.
Experience with automated unit testing as part of normal development cycles is required. Experience with integration- or user-level testing & automation is a plus.
Experience with best practices regarding work item management, source code management and release management is required. Familiarity with Git, Atlassian offerings (BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence) is ideal.
Experience with development tools like IntelliJ, Maven, DBVisualizer, SQL Developer, etc. is a plus.
Illustrative experience with risk reduction, scope clarification, stakeholder engagement & objective-based planning is required for the position.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications
Knowledge or previous experience with cryptographic/security-related implementations is a bonus.
Familiarity with DevOps concepts & techniques, particularly within a Microsoft Azure environment would be a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
