Position Title: Licensing & Contracting Associate (Part-Time; 20 hours/week; with a potential to move to full-time)


Reports to: President


Essential Job Function:


The Licensing & Contracting Associate is responsible for a vital component of our overall process by making sure our field agents have all licensing and appointment items complete and are in good order to write business. The L&C Associate submits all required completed agent paperwork to the carriers on our platform along with process follow up's, confirm and advise necessary training and update all system data. Confirmation of "in-good-order" state licensing, carrier appointment, state training course completion, carrier course completion, suitability training course completion are all under the L&C Associate's duties. Communication with marketing consultants, field agents and carriers will be a frequent task to make sure all these items are completed and tracked.


Primary Responsibilities:


Dedication to obtaining the quickest possible approval for submitted contracts.


Follow up regularly with carriers to check on the status of pending contracts and confirm that all required materials have been received and are being reviewed.


Remains current with state licensing procedures, training requirements and appointment requirements.


Provide phone and email support related to carrier appointments.


Qualifications:


2+ years of insurance L&C experience in an agency and/or carrier setting with life and annuity carriers/products.


2+ years of customer service experience.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.


Proficiency with general office equipment including PC, fax machine, copier, scanner, etc.


Ability to maintain confidentiality


High School Diploma required

Compensation:


Hourly Rate: $12 - $17/hour based on experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
