Summary
The Financial Analyst II, Reporting & Analytics role is responsible for the systemic development and preparation of company and store financial performance reporting, monthly general ledger close accounting responsibilities and detailed expense forecasting and variance analysis.
Scope
Company and Store Reporting and database maintenance: Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly company and store performance reporting using primarily SAP, Data Management system, Hyperion , Access and Excel software. Research and analyze results for outliers and improvement opportunities. Ensure proper field distribution and maintain Access reporting databases.
Store Accounting: Perform monthly store accounting including journal entries and general ledger account analysis for P&L and balance sheet accounts. Partner with non-financial departments to assist them in preparing journal entries for store expenses/accruals. Investigate material variances to plan and forecast and determine whether store expenses are properly recognized. Prepare commentary on material financial variances and serve as primary internal contact for related store variance questions. Identify and communicate to department manager risks and opportunities in store P&L and balance sheet accounts.
Detailed store forecasting for expense line items. Partner with other functional areas, document all processes, expense/income drivers and dependencies, analyze for opportunities and prepare forecast, in partnership with functional area each month prior to financial close or as needed.
Data Management Software Development & Reporting: Serve as a financial data subject matter expert in supporting the Data Management & Reporting initiative. Work with other functional areas to understand reporting needs and provide direction to internal IT partners on data needs to support development of Enterprise and ad-hoc reporting and analysis of company financial information. Serve as a primary resource for the development of systemic reports leveraging SAP/Car/Hana and IBI software.
Ad-hoc projects and financial analysis requests as necessary including but not limited to investigating and responding to field questions regarding specific store sales and expenses, financial analysis requests from Store Operations, and systems development and testing (i.e. SAP FI/CO, SAP BW, WFM, and Hyperion) and store side annual planning. Train and prepare as a primary back-up for multiple processes and reports. Utilize SAP, Data Management, Access, Excel, Hyperion and Essbase to develop additional financial reports as needed.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree, Accounting / Finance.
Preferred: Master's in Business Administration, Accountancy or Finance, minor in Information Technology.
Experience
Minimum: 2-4 years previous experience in Accounting or Finance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
