Summary
The Manager, Merchandise Planning role collaborates with key personnel in Merchandising and Replenishment to drive the business in several shops. This position is responsible for helping set aggressive yet realistic sales and margin plans (with Merchants) as well as optimal inventory plans that balance the cost of inventory with the benefits (with Replenishment). The Planning Manager is also responsible for the development and execution of the Financial Plans, Assortment Listings, Promotional Plans, Pricing, and Buy Plans for assigned category. Partners with Buyers accurately forecast and to ensure the plans and actions support the company's financial targets and objectives. Responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a number of other functional groups including: merchandise planning store operations, supply chain, sourcing, etc.
Scope
Accountable for all merchandise planning functions for assigned division, including: Development of annual sales, margin and business plans. Manages Open-To-Buy, with clarity on the key components of basics, fashion and seasonal products. Guides and supports the forecasting and assortment planning process. Maintain the discipline of clearing unproductive merchandise.
Accountable for all Store Merchandising activities, including: Development and execution of planogram and planoguide calendar. Ensures store merchandising and communication is executed per the vision of merchant team. Provides strategic direction to store space and product adjacencies. Oversees Assortment Listing including layout module, price point analysis, vendor analysis.
Leads and develops planning team. Develops and communicates performance goals, evaluate performance, and provides constructive feedback on a timely basis.
Provides ad hoc analytical support and financial impact projections to the Buyer for proposed alternative courses of action.
Accountable for defining, implementing, and improving processes and systems for inventory management, including: planogram/planoguides, merchandise and assortment planning, and space planning.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred: Quantitative undergrand (e.g. statistics, business) and/or MBA.
Experience
Minimum: 3-5 years of retail experience in merchandising, space planning, inventory management or finance. 2 - 3 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred: 5+ years of retail experience in merchandising, space planning, inventory management or finance. 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Other Skills
MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Retail Business systems (SAP Retail, JDA Arthur Planning, JDA Demand & Fulfillment, or comparable systems).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
