The Custom Business Assistant demonstrates the ability to plan and implement a business plan that improves the in store and online customer experience in the custom business programs. Partners with the associate to keep us ahead of the competition through innovation, communication and managing partnerships across the Store Support Center. They are engaged in testing new concepts, vendor communications and management. They manage creative processes, approve designs, and testing that supports driving future growth along with maintaining budgets, trackers, and forms ensuring business strategies are executed to achieve year end financial goals. Understanding deadlines, reporting any discrepancies, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is a must. This position requires up to 10% travel and may require working on some weekends to meet desired objectives.
Administers marketing and advertising programs. Facilitates the turn in process, including preparation of briefs, fact sheets and any documentation needed to support program requests. Proofs all signs, catalogs, and marketing strategies for accuracy.
Creates plans and strategies to support custom business programs that include, but are not limited to article creation, proofing, program management and pricing creation.
Responsible for the management of the gift card program including vendor relationships, inventory, digital needs, forecasting, sales, profitability and reporting tied to a successful program.
Analyzes business results and provides recommendation to custom business team to improve performance and productivity.
Manages SVC Processes and budgets for the custom business areas.
Education Requirements
Minimum: 4 year Bachelor's Degree
Required: 2 ? 4 years experience with project management from strategic conception through development, execution, and success assessment in merchandising. Experience with P & L beneficial. Previous experience working in arts and crafts industry preferred.
Other Skills or Certifications
Responsibility driven, capable of taking the initiative and ownership of projects. Quick adapter of new technology; proficient at learning business execution and reporting systems. Solid verbal and written communication skills including project documentation and presentation skills. Ability to interact at all levels, internally and externally, and with many diverse groups. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines. Strong sense of organizational and customer service skills. Experience with Microsoft Office programs specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
