PROJECT SALES REP (Energy Efficient Lighting)


Job Description


MegaLight, Inc. seeks to hire an individual full time w/ 3-5 years of commercial project type sales experience. The position involves marketing and selling MegaLight LED Lighting products and services to commercial customers in several industry market sectors, including commercial office, education, healthcare, worship, hospitality, manufacturing and warehouse distribution. The position also involves local travel in OH and regional travel to adjacent States to conduct pre-sale due diligence, present proposals and attend post sale project installation kickoff meetings.


Requirements:


Technical


         Experience with commercial lighting projects is preferred, including an ability to:


  layout new LED lighting solutions for lighting replacement and upgrade projects,


  perform onsite lighting quantity takeoffs of legacy fixtures being replaced with new LED fixtures,


  calculate kWh cost savings from utility bills and available rebate programs,


  coordinate final LED lighting design plans with in-house and subcontracted lighting installers.


         General knowledge of older legacy and current LED lighting technology in commercial environments.


         General understanding of utility energy efficiency incentives and lighting rebate programs offered to commercial electricity consumers and how to credit them in new LED lighting design plans.


Sales & Marketing


         Project type sales experience in commercial market sectors with a track record of achieving or exceeding annual sales goals.


         Consultative sales experience and ability to interact with key decision makers at all management levels and close sales contracts in a timely manner.


         Territory management / planning skills, including:


   identifying viable markets / customers,


  preparing territory marketing plans,


  building pipeline of qualified prospects, and


  managing all pipeline prospect sales cycles.


         Ability to prepare turnkey project proposals that include products, installation and support services with an ability to phase larger projects to meet customer budgets and operational needs.  


         The ability to differentiate company, products and services in presentations and proposals from competitors competing for the same customer project.  


         Ability to accurately forecast pre-qualified pipeline revenue opportunities on a quarterly and annually basis.  


 Interpersonal Skills


         Strong written and verbal communication skills.


         Self-starter / motivator with strong organizational skills and attention to detail work ethic.


         High initiative to succeed by exceeding personal and company goals with minimal supervision


         Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.


         Excellent listening and retention skills.


         Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sales Force, etc., is a plus.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor or Associate degree or technical school training.

  • 3-5 years project sales experience in commercial market sectors.

  • Some type of project management experience working with commercial contractors, facility management teams, commercial construction, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
