Fastcomp, LLC, an entrepreneurial organization located in Hudson, Ohio, provides a proprietary technology solution connecting independent commercial lines insurance agents with carriers, is growing and are in search of an Underwriting Technician to join our team. The Underwriter Technician is responsible for quoting and binding workers compensation policies. Specific responsibilities of this highly visible role include:


?  Interfacing with agents via email and phone on insurance coverage needs


?  Evaluate the experience of a risk against the class of business


?  Finding the most competitive market to quote the account


?  Prepare quotes for agents and answer questions that arise


?  Work efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment


?  Ensuring policy transactions such as binders or endorsements are issued and changes are documented and recorded correctly


?  Utilize online rating systems of various carriers


?  Interacting and negotiating with carrier on pricing flexibility and alternatives


?  Distributing new business quotes to agents and regularly following up on status

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with additional consideration given to those with advanced education (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree) in business or administration. A minimum of three years demonstrated and consistent work experience in an administrative professional environment is required. Experience with insurance billing, claims processing, customer or administrative support required. Strong computer skills using MS Office (Word, Excel) and other billing and tracking systems is a must. Property & casualty insurance experience and license a plus.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
