Mechanical Design Engineer

Permanent position: BSME Design Engineer with SolidWorks experience - specialty high precision testing and measurement equipment provider is seeking a degreed Design Engineer with SolidWorks experience for a direct hire career opportunity near Akron, OH.

Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Candidate will use SolidWorks to help design innovative laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition/analysis software systems
  • Create part and assembly drawings and generate detailed bill of materials (BOM)
  • Perform product research and recommend components to the Engineering Manager
  • Assemble and build prototypes as needed
  • Assist with the development of technical manuals for new and existing machines
  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks

Requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer

  • BSME required
  • 5+ years of SolidWorks required
  • Previous experience in machine design and automation systems preferred
  • Prior experience with stress analysis and simulation programs a plus
  • Familiar with Six Sigma/Lean Techniques (certification preferred)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
